Megane RS MK3 RS250 265 Cup
Soon as we tested the Megane RS it was obvious to us that this wasn't going to be simply a case of fitting the largest intercooler we could. Even in standard trim there's significant issues with spiralling water temperatures which escalate as the boost rises through the gears. Simply adding a Front Mounted Intercooler would at best only deal with part of the Meganes issues....
So we have addressed the Megane in two ways..
1) Slim line front mounted, high ambient air flow Intercooler with a surface area of three times the OEM cooler. Complete with Air Scoop and mounts for our Auxiliary Turbo Cooler.
2) Auxiliary Turbo Cooler which is fitted underneath the original water radiator, filling the space where the OEM intercooler was fitted.
Our results are impressive. The thinner cooler shows a 25% reduction in the recovery temperature between runs and an 18% reduction in the peak intake temperature. Adding the Auxiliary Turbo Cooler shows a 7% decrease in water temperatures whilst cruising and most importantly a 5% reduction whilst on boost.
Fitting is simple with only very minimal cutting of the plastic trim to allow the fitment of our air scoop.
RS Tuning have been testing out one of our intercoolers on their dyno with impressive results...

Results at the wheels show a gain of 8.9bhp from standard
BHP at the fly
Results show 299.5 BHP at the fly as standard with a instant raise of 10.2bhp from fitting our cooler. Boosting the new BHP figure to 309.7. Expect to see even higher gains with a re-map to suit the new set up.
This kit can be purchased as a full kit with Intercooler and Turbo Cooler or intercooler on its own. All kits include mounting hardware. It is possible to buy the turbo cooler on its own please note its mounts have been designed to work with a Pro Alloy intercooler.
