New tuning package to be released with Ford backing
The Mountune Performance package for the Ford Focus ST consists of a larger tailored ProAlloy intercooler, a high flow K&N air filter with a revised engine calibration of the potent 2.5-litre Duratec ST engine to produce 260PS at 5500rpm and 400Nm at 2,500 to 4,000rpm.
The upgrade will produce performance returns of 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds, a 0.6 second improvement over the standard ST, and 0-100mph in 14.1 seconds, 1.9 seconds faster than the standard model.
Once again Mountune have tested the upgrades on British B roads and on numerous laps of the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife.
A revised KW Suspension upgrade is also in development.
Developed by Mountune Performance in association with Ford Team RS, the upgrade will only be available at selected specialist Ford dealers from August 8th 2008. The upgrades have a minimum of 12 months/12,000-mile warranty and do not affect the vehicle warranty.
